Evaluation of the implementation of study programmes is part of the responsibility assumed by Charles University under the institutional accreditation granted by the National Accreditation Office and is currently regulated by Article 5 of the Rules of the Quality Assurance and Internal Evaluation System of Charles University, according to which each study programme is to be evaluated at least once during the accreditation validity period.

The evaluation is conducted in the SIS through the Evaluation module by the guarantors of study programmes.The guarantor fills in a questionnaire containing twelve questions about different aspects of the study programme. Most questions are accompanied by data files on which the answers can be based.

The evaluation should primarily lead to reflection. Its aim is to help the guarantor to think about the study programme from a perspective, to reflect on its strengths and weaknesses, and to facilitate thinking about the future

The completed form is assessed by a rapporteur of the CU Board for Internal Evaluation, who then drafts a brief report evaluating the given programme.When necessary, the respective panel of the Board may organise a meeting with the guarantor and other representatives of the faculty, where they discuss the implementation of the study programme.However, in most cases it is expected that this will not be necessary and that there will be no issues regarding the programme and the rapporteur will understand everything from the completed questionnaire.
